Traveling, Day 3
It has been a long day, but a good one. We are grateful that we have been able to stay with/meet up with some of Gabe's extended family today. This morning the kids had "story time with Uncle Dana", followed by a visit to Grandma Inger.
We then hit the road for a few hours before meeting up with another of Gabe's aunts and uncles. It was their first time meeting me and the kids, so it was a real blessing to meet up with them on our way down to Mexico! They treated us all to ice cream and the kids got to run around outside for a bit before finishing off our drive today.
The drive was more scenic today too. Not as much smoke (hello blue sky!) and it was a great mixture of trees, fields, and mountains. We had decided not to follow I-5 all the way down to San Diego and instead are traveling down the east side of the state. It may take longer, but the scenery is worth it!
We ended up in Bishop, CA for the night. I am catching up on some mundane things like laundry and paying bills. Tomorrow we will drive to San Diego and Friday we will finish up this long journey and see our new home. It is still hard to believe this is really happening sometimes. I think it will become even more real once we cross the border.
Please continue praying for health. We still have one kid who hasn't quite returned to health. No more throwing up, but she can't seem to eat anything without her tummy beginning to hurt. Pray that she would be completely healed. Thanks everyone!
